Description
The Type Rating Course and Renewal Course for the DHC-8 have been developed following the ICAO standards and are in line with Air Operator requirements globally. The core curriculum is based on TC / FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Type Rating Practical Test Standards and contains airman certification requirements. The course objectives of the DHC-8 training is to achieve the optimum knowledge of the following: normal and non-normal operating procedures, emergency procedures, technical system knowledge, performance procedures, weight and balance procedures and flight planning procedures. The training emphasizes the development of technical, as well as flying skills that are applicable to a multi-crew environment, while operating the DHC-8.
General
Examination is open book, multiple choice format with a passing grade of 80% and is conducted at the end of groundschool. Any grade less than 100% will require Systems Course material to be reviewed with student. Pilot Proficiency Check is conducted in the simulator at the completion of simulator training. A passing grade is based on satisfactory completion of sequences and standards.
FPI Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
