This Transport Canada (TC) approved course fulfills the regulatory requirement and can lead to a renewal of type rating in the DHC-8. The core curriculum is based on TC / FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Type Rating Practical Test Standards and contains airman certification requirements. The course objectives of the DHC-8 training is to achieve the optimum knowledge of the following: normal and non-normal operating procedures, emergency procedures, technical system knowledge, performance procedures, weight and balance procedures and flight planning procedures. The training emphasizes the development of technical, as well as flying skills that are applicable to a multi-crew environment, while operating the DHC-8.
Groundschool conducted with no examination. Pilot Proficiency Check is conducted in the simulator at the completion of simulator training. A passing grade is based on satisfactory completion of sequences and standards established by Transport Canada.
FPI Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course
