Airbus 330/340 Initial Type Course
Basic: 19 Days (10 days in-class theory, 3 days CPT and 8 days simulator training).
Standard: 24 Days (12 days in-class theory, 3 days CPT and 9 days simulator training).
Expanded: 27 Days (10 days in-class theory, 5 days Bridge, 3 days CPT and 9 days SIM training).
Airline Captains and First Officers.
English. Student must have the ability to read, write and communicate at a functional level in the English language. Translators may be provided by customer if not fluent in English.
FlightPath International Training Centre in Toronto, Canada or a customer site.
This Transport Canada (TC) approved course fulfills the regulatory requirement and can lead to a renewal of type rating in the Airbus 330/340. The core curriculum is based on TC / FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Type Rating Practical Test Standards and contains airman certification requirements. The course objectives of the Airbus 330/340 training is to achieve the optimum knowledge of the following: normal and non-normal operating procedures, emergency procedures, technical system knowledge, performance procedures, weight and balance procedures and flight planning procedures. The training emphasizes the development of technical, as well as flying skills that are applicable to a multi-crew environment, while operating the Airbus 330/340.
Examination is closed book, multiple choice format with a passing grade of 80% and is conducted at the end of groundschool. Any grade less than 100% will require Systems Course material to be reviewed with student. Pilot Proficiency Check is conducted in the simulator at the completion of simulator training. A passing grade is based on satisfactory completion of sequences and standards established by Transport Canada.
FPI Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course
