Boeing B777-200/300 (GE90) Engine Ground Run

ATA Spec 104, Level 4 

Theory Duration
2 hours of Theory (group session)

Simulator Duration
4 hours of Full Flight Simulator (FFS) consisting of;
– 2 hours of left seat (Captain) responsibilities
– 2 hours of right seat (First Officer) responsibilities

Target Group
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Technicians with a Boeing B777 type endorsement or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Technicians attending a Boeing B777 type course

Course Location
FlightPath International Training Centre in Toronto, Canada, and Simulator Training Centre at worldwide locations

Course Format
This course is designed to be taught on an interactive basis with students taught in the FFS in a paired format. See description below

Description
This course provides technical personnel the knowledge on the effective use of all available resources to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during the performance of an Engine Ground Run (EGR). Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) and the interactions between the left seat responsibilities and right seat responsibilities during an EGR event form a larger portion of this course 

– Prestart checks

– Safety and communication procedures

– Precautions and limitations

– Normal engine start/run procedures

– Emergency procedures including aircraft breakaway

– Engine shutdown procedures

General
Evaluations will be conducted throughout the course. Students will receive an FPI Engine Ground Run Certificate upon successful completion of the course
